Members Programs & Services Overview
ARCA, the Alberta Recreational Canoe Association was formed in 1973 by paddling clubs in Alberta to address the needs of the recreational paddlers of Alberta. Over the years, ARCA has developed many programs to meet these Instructor and Organizational Member needs. ARCA currently has 30 Club, NFP and Commericial Members and over 1,200 Instructor Members.
ARCA has a variety of programs, services and benefits which are outlined in the ARCA Member Fees and Benefits Chart and Guidelines.
Overview of Member benefits are:
- Networking and Educational Seminars at 2 General Meetings per year
- Matching Funds for Instructor Development Certification; Equipment and Building/Facility (through earned-credits)
- Liability Insurance and subsidies for Executive, Member and Property insurance.
- Instructor Certification Subsidy for Instructors and Instructor Trainers
- Participate in paddling education and development programs
- Participation in environmental issues and programs
- Participation in safety issues and program
