Club/Organization Membership Application

Benefits:

Keep up to date on recreational paddling in Alberta & Canada
Financial assistance is available to clubs for equipment purchases, building development and Instructor Development Certification
Instructor subsidy is available for individual instructors to upgrade their current CRCA and ARCA Instructor certification

Commitments:

Two general meetings a year (usually April and November). Most expenses are covered.
Participation in the fundraising casino

Volunteer Opportunities:

Executive positions (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Education Chair, Safety Chair and Environmental Chair)
Participation in temporary committees such as Education or Environment committees

This application form is for Clubs and Organizations. Instructors should instead complete an Instructor Membership Form.

Membership Type:

	Club (recreational paddling is one of the main organizational objectives, the club must be registered as an Alberta society and must be composed of individual members.) $120.00 / year
	Not-for-profit organization (any other NFP groups other than a paddling club, must be registered under Alberta or Federal Legislation. This includes schools, Scouts, Y's.) $100.00 / year
	Commercial organization (must be registered under Alberta or Federal Legislation. This category includes NFP's engaged in commercial business activities.) $150.00 / year
	Individual only (INSTRUCTORS - complete INSTRUCTOR Membership application) $30.00 / year

ARCA is trying to maintain a database of paddling accidents, deaths and near misses in Alberta. Our website has an online form to register any occurrences that you or your members are part of or hear of. Please encourage your members to submit incidents to ARCA. This will help ARCA to be aware of any paddling safety issues in the province.
